Return and Disposal of Batteries and Accumulators
Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste or in the environment! You are legally obliged to dispose of these devices at a specially established collection point or directly at our company headquarters in the containers provided (Battery Act, BattG).
We are obliged to take back and dispose of used batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charge. You can drop them off or send them to our company headquarters – address at the bottom of the page – during our business hours free of charge.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries can contain harmful substances that can harm the environment or your health if not stored and disposed of properly. Manufacturers indicate which harmful substances are contained on the products or their packaging. The chemical names of the harmful substances are given under a crossed-out garbage can (see illustration).
The following abbreviations indicate the pollutants:
- Pb: Battery contains lead
- Cd: Battery contains cadmium
- Hg: Battery contains mercury
We sell lithium-ion batteries, among other things. If you would like to send these back to us by post, please follow the instructions provided by the shipping service provider and the manufacturer for these devices. Li-ion batteries can ignite, for example, due to a short circuit. The contacts must therefore be taped or covered by another suitable method.
